Multichannel granular synthesis
PLODE
Plode is a multichannel eight-channel granulation tool which permits variable grain density, grain length, inter-grain length, grain transposition, grain envelope and spatial placement of grains over the eight channels for each grain. While principally designed to generate textures from its source sounds it also incorporates the notion of the 'scrub screen' (see Clatter) to permit gestural triggering of grains.
