ChangeRinger was built as a change ringing automator for the proposed (but unrealised) Ringing the Changes project, 2003), both to trigger sampled bells from the hard drive (and spatialise them over 7 speakers in St Martin's Square, Birmingham) and as a prototype for 'calling' changes in performed bell ringing (hence the numbers below the interface). The patch offers both manual and automatic change calling and permits more than one change with each ring iteration. Presets are also provided to restrict the ring to specific pitches.
